Ombudsman University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France
Is the ombudsman of the university of Strasbourg since 2017.
After a PhD in 1980, he has been Assistant Professor in Mulhouse and Full Professor in the university of Nancy. Since 1993 he’s Professor at the University of Strasbourg. His research interests was theoretical solid state physics. Since 1998 he is also the director of the Jardin des Sciences (http://jardin-sciences.unistra.fr/). From 2010 to 2016 he has been chairman of the International Committee of ICOM UMAC (University Museums And Collections).
He has been strongly involved in the evaluation of the research policy at the national level, for instance as Chairman of a physics section in the French agencies (CNU, 1998-2002) and then in the CNRS (2003-2007). From 2007 to 2016 he was also Vice-President of the university Louis Pasteur and from then in charge of Human Resources at the University of Strasbourg.

Hugues Dreyssé est le médiateur de l’université de Strasbourg depuis 2017.
Théoricien de l’état solide, titulaire d’un Doctorat en 1980 et d’un Doctorat d’Etat en 1984, il a été Maitre de conférence à Mulhouse, Professeur à Nancy en 1988 puis à Strasbourg en 1993. Il est aussi directeur du Jardin des Sciences de l’université de Strasbourg (http://jardin-sciences.unistra.fr/) et a été président du comité de l’ICOM (Conseil international des musées) dédié aux musées et collections universitaires (UMAC) de 2010 à 2016. Par ailleurs il s’est fortement investi dans l’évaluation des politiques nationales de l’enseignement supérieur en étant, notamment, président de sa section au CNU (1988-2002) ou au CNRS (2003-07). Il a été aussi Vice-Président en charge des Ressources Humaines et de la Politique Sociale de l’université Louis Pasteur puis de l’université (réunifiée) de Strasbourg de 2007 à 2016
